Charcoal Architecture inspired by Lowry EYFS - Year 6

As our school is in such a remote location spread over 4 islands some of our classes have mixed age groups this project was run with children from EYFS to year 6 all having a go at the same activity.

For most of our children in this session charcoal was a completely new (and very exciting) art material. We loved blending and smudging the pigment and practised making a whole range of marks in our sketchbooks ready for our final pieces.
