This project was part of our global learning project week, we had a fascinating day of learning all about Tanzania! We tasted ugali, printed our own kangas and even learnt some Swahli! Due to the nature of our remote islands school this day was run with children ranging from EYFS - Year 6.
We began by discovering the importance and usefulness of the Tanzanian Kanga, large printed pieces of fabric with Swahili messages on. The fabric has soo many uses from a shawl to a skirt and even a head dress. We absolutely loved printed and trying on our own.
